What is the best coffee maker that exists?

There are tons of coffee makers on the market, and I am looking to by a good one. I do not want to buy one that will need replaced after a year, I want one that will last, and that will be done fairly quickly.

I have heard that Cuisinart and Bunn are by far the best, but I want more opinions before I go spend money. I am not going to buy anything as cheap as Mr. Coffee either, they last for about a year and take about 15 minutes to get done.

Bunn makes a great coffee maker but if you really want the best go buy a Technivorm.

Suggestions for brands of coffee makers and bean grinder?

Good Morning,Ya’ll,my DH and I are looking to purchase a new coffee maker and grinder for Christmas for our home. We were looking at purchasing a combo in the Cuisinart Grind & Brew model with a stainless thermal carafe.

Does anyone own this type model or give us any suggestions on coffee markers with a bean grinder or an outstanding single coffee marker that has a stainless carafe and a separate brand of bean grinder? One of my main issues with the combo model would be clugging up and cleaning.

Thanks any suggestions and Merry Christmas Ya’ll!!!!

PS-We have had Bunn, Mr. Coffee,KitchenAid brand coffee makers:( and our bean grinder is KitchenAid:(

Those combo rigs are really tough to clean, oil from the beans gets all up in there and it’s almost impossible to keep it clean with out constantly running vinegar through it. Rancid coffee oil ruins your coffee and then you get all angry for spending so much on something that only really brewed decent coffee for a month or 2.

I would suggest: A capresso or braun grinder A Chemex glass gravity brewer (all glass and a breeze to keep clean) – http://www.chemexcoffeemaker.com/ A thermal carafe for pouring your coffee into after you’re done with the brewing process
